The internal crane style vehicle lift is a lift for wheelchairs and scooters that installs in your minivan, SUV, van, crossover, or pickup. The internal crane style lift resembles a crane and picks up your mobility vehicle with a sturdy hook and line. It boasts an “offset post design” which enables the mobility device to be safely unloaded behind, at the corner of, or at the side of the vehicle. With a touch of the button, these crane style lifts can stow your mobility device inside the back of your vehicle. The cranes are powered by your vehicle’s battery and don’t structurally change the inside of your vehicle. The lift head can even fold down when not in use, thus opening partial third row seating and giving improved driver visibility. They work well in minivans, SUV’s, select crossovers, pickup trucks and full-size vans.
At Rollin’ Along, we offer three models by Bruno:
- Big Lifter, Model VSL-570 – The Bruno Big Lifter uses power to raise and lower your mobility device and needs a manual rotation into the vehicle. To use this model, you simply attach the docking device to the chair, push “up” on the pendant to raise the chair to the desired height, manually swing the chair into the vehicle and then lower the chair inside the vehicle by pushing “down” on the pendant. Worried about your needs changing as the years go on? The VSL 570 can be upgraded to a power rotation at any time.
- Bruno VSL 6000 – The Bruno Curb-Sider is similar to the Big Lifter but it boasts a gear-driven performance in its automatic rotation into the vehicle. This power rotation provides smooth stability as it brings your chair around the car and into the vehicle. This Direct Gear Drive Technology has no chains which means no slipping and virtually a maintenance-free operation.
- Bruno VSL 6900 – The Bruno Curb-Sider VSL 6900 has the added feature of a telescoping lift head. Have a larger mobility device or a car with a bulky bumper? Don’t worry! This telescoping Lift Head will add 14” of length. This is especially helpful in narrower minivans.
